How do I uninstall one of my operating systems?

Author: Administrator | Files under Operating Systems

My brother gave me this laptop that has two operating systems installed on it. (Windows xp). The only way to get on the internet is to run it in safe mode which is very annoying because I cannot see pictures or anything. I have a Dell Latitude. Model number PP01S. If anyone can tell me what to do, I would be very greatfull. Thank you.

You have to delete the partition which contains that OS
Put your XP installation disk or Vista disk then boot your computer from CD.
This would open a program that may help you change the partitions.

I would recommend you not to do this on your own take help from some experienced person.

To remove Windows XP, follow these steps:

1.Restart your computer in Safe mode.

2.Log on with an account that has administrative credentials.

3.Click Start, click Control Panel, and then double-click Add or Remove Programs.
In the list of installed programs, double-click Uninstall Windows XP.

5.When you receive the following message, click Yes to start the Windows XP removal:

6.After Windows XP is removed, your computer restarts to the previously-installed operating system.

    I hope that helps!! :)

OH GOD ! I did this and it was torture trying to get everything to work again but I had two HDs, you have to wipe one of your hard drives if you have two and then on the hard drive that you have kept the OS on you will have to re-install all of the drivers, the best programme for that is Everest as it tells you what drivers are missing and gives you links to websites that have the driver ready for download !
    Hope that helped !!!
