120 watts per graphics card
100 watts per motherboard.

In most cases, you want:
400 watt PSU for a dual core or less.
600 watt for a quad core
800-1000 watt for dual graphics cards.

The reason for getting more PSU than you need is because a PSU working near max is less efficient than one working at half capacity. also, PSU&#039;s come with a limited amount of rails. usually, the better rails come with the higher wattage drives (&quot;SLI-Ready!&quot; means it has enough rails.)
