The common piece of computer hardware that modulates digital?

Author: Administrator | Files under Hardware

The common piece of computer hardware that modulates digital computer information so that it can be transmitted over analog phone lines and which also demodulates the received analog signal back into digital form is called a:

a. router.

b. monitor.

c. modem.

d. TCP/IP Translator.

It’s C – modem

The word ‘modem’ is a combination of modulator-demodulator. The question is a little old, because there are other devices called modems these days that do not modulate over analog phone lines.

It’s either A or C, because those are the two closest pieces of hardware (TCP/IP Translator doesn’t sound like hardware…). I’d say modem, because it actually goes into the computer? Sorry. This is just an educated guess.
