    I haven’t used …
I haven’t used Windows in years, but I imagine you could make Windows behave as you want it too with some time. But I agree that Linux, while seemingly complicated for regular end-users, is much easier to tame (WIth the right Man pages of course :D ).

I would have to say the ‘Yes’ing and ‘No’ing that you mentioned is probably linked more to the design choices by Microsoft, Gnome, etc, for the GUI, then the underlying OS.

(Didn’t mean for this to sound rude, but it reads that way, lol. sorry.)

    It’s to keep it …
It’s to keep it from being re-cropped and assassinated by haters and multi-billion dollar conglomerates that see Linux as a threat. Hence why Microsoft and Macintosh does the same for all of their media.

I think one of the …
I think one of the main differences between Windows and Linux is. Often Linux expects the user to know exactly what their doing and doesn’t get in the way, Windows does not really expect too much knowledge of it’s users.

For example deleting a file. Linux will just delete that file as the user commanded it to. Windows will ask the user if they really want to the delete the file ‘YES or NO”, after the command to delete was given.

Hmmm. This video is about Linux and free open source software FOSS, it just doesn’t go well with ‘This program may not be reproduced or distributed without the express written permission….’. In other words ALL RIGHTS RESERVED. Have these people not heard of Creative Commons?

I think it’s ironic that this video is about something released under the GPL, but the video itself has distribution restrictions.

He lives without starving by selling stocks and receive supports from other Linux-development companies.
Open source is risky? excuse me? Linux-like OSs are growing to hundreds of them. Have you hear of Linux virus? No because people can modify and patch the OSs by themselves, not like stupid Windows that moar riskier everytime it have updated.

Well you do have to …
Well you do have to restart nearly every time you update or install new software. And I was talking mainly about Vista Ultimate (constant slows and sometimes crashes). But it did it every once in a while with 7 as well. I do agree though that the REALLY good editing software remains with windows.

I installed the Koala beta two days ago though, and I have to say that I am very excited for the final product. It will be amazing.

    Create a /home partition.
