But I agree that Linux, while seemingly complicated for regular end-users, is much easier to tame (WIth the right Man pages of course :D ). I would have to say the 'Yes'ing and 'No'ing that you mentioned is probably linked more to the design choices by Microsoft, Gnome, etc, for the GUI, then the underlying OS. I haven’t used Windows in years, but I imagine you could make Windows behave as you want it too with some time. But I agree that Linux, while seemingly complicated for regular end-users, is much easier to tame (WIth the right Man pages of course :D ).
