#917 – Silverstone CW03 HTPC Case Video Review

Author: Administrator | Files under Operating Systems

CHECK PRICES: http://3dgameman.pgpartner.com/

“The SilverStone CW03 HTPC Case has an all aluminum body with nickel-coated steel structural support and is available in a back and silver color so it should match most audio/video setups. The first thing you will notice at the front left is the very impressive 7″ widescreen LCD with integrated touch screen. This small display supports full HD 1080p with resolutions ranging from 640×480 to 1920×1200, so it offers extremely sharp picture quality. It’s also compatible with 64-bit & 32-bit Windows XP/MCE/Vista operating systems. This is THE HTPC case! Watch the video to find out more and check out the bloopers at the end.” ~3dGameMan.com

    These theatre PCs …
These theatre PCs need to support liquid cooling systems a bit better. It would make them much quieter, thats what you would want for a theatre PC.

    I would like to …
I would like to understand the reasoning for that screen too. A Home Theatre PC would normally run Windows MCE or MythTV. You would watch it on you tv and control it with a remote. When is someone going to walk over to this computer to see and touch this tiny lcd screen?

    This thing is so …
This thing is so unbelievably fugly it almost hurts my eyes! If you want a big HTPC case with an LCD in it, you should consider the stuff from OrigenÆ. They are expensive, too, but at least they have a very high build quality and nice designs.

    I agree with people …
I agree with people who have said that they don’t understand the point of the LCD. If you have an HTPC, you have a massive LCD HDTV sitting right next to it. Why bother walking over to the tiny 7″ screen when you have the same thing 20 times the size centimetres away?

Sure, you can say ‘it’s for music’ but I don’t buy that. If you can wait for your PC to boot up to listen to music, you can turn the monitor on.

The LCD is just superfluous bling, like the LG fridge with a built-in TV!

    So you concluded by …
So you concluded by saying it costs a kings ransom and is noisy as yet you still saw fit to give it a “100% kick Product” rating.

This Rodney guy needs to get his priorities sorted out. He should either give realistic scores and opinions or admit he doesn’t want to get on the wrong side of his suppliers hence why everything he reviews is recommended.

Disagree, its not so much of a review granted, but, it isnt quite advertising either. Its more a case of, you want a product, and u watch his videos to get a better understanding of the product. Not really advertising
