[Please Read] In this video, I’ll show you how to connect to Xbox LIVE via your Android phone’s internet connection. We’ll be tethering the phone to a Windows 7 based computer via USB, and then bridging that connection via Ethernet to the Xbox 360. We’ll be using PDAnet, which is a free tethering application which allows us to share the phone’s internet connection with our PC and Xbox 360.

*PDAnet Configuration:
(Accessible in your network settings. To edit the settings on the PDAnet modem, single click on it, then right click and go to “Properties.” Then check the box next to “Allow other network users to connect through this computer’s internet connection.” After this, under “Home networking connection,” select “Local Area Connection.” After this, click Settings–) Add.)

*Xbox 360 Network Settings:

Primary DNS Server: 8.8.8.8
Secondary DNS Server: 8.8.8.8
*TIP: You can also use 192.168.1.4 for a DNS Server if 8.8.8.8 fails*
Note: When you try to connect to Xbox Live for the first time after you enter in these settings, it most likely won’t work and will give you a MTU error. You can disregard this error. Just restart your Xbox and try to connect again. This time it should work. If it fails again, turn off your Xbox, PC, and quit PDAnet on your phone. Restart the PDAnet application on the PC and phone, and connect. Ensure that PDAnet has connected your PC to the internet by opening your web browser. If you have an internet connection, proceed to turn on your Xbox. If it still continues to fail, make sure you edited the MTU setting on your ethernet adapter and not something else. These solutions should solve 99% of problems.
*FYI:
I’m also working on a Mac version of this video.
Wireless versions of this video will come as soon as Android 2.2 (Froyo) becomes available on my phone. In this video, I’m running 2.1.
The phone used in this video was a HTC Droid Incredible (Verizon)
The computer I used was a 13″ MacBook Pro which was running Windows 7.

There’s a easy way …
There’s a easy way without a laptop. Make sure ur phones rooted. Go to the market and download barnacle wifi tether. Don’t forget to have a wifi adapter on ur xbox 360. Go 2 settings and scan until u find a ad-hoc named barnacle. Also the connection is better than PDA net ‘_’

Thank you so much! Got these settings to work on easytether pro after 2 days of grinding to find a solution. Tip- if you get the error after typing in port 53 for xbox2 just skip it, cause when it happened to me I wiged out and starting screwing stuff up. Anyway thanks again!

When i try to make the xbox 2 file and put in 53 again for the ports it says, The port number is already used by another entry. Please enter a unique port number. The rest of the files went in fine though.?

Can you help me, I have tried to do the same steps but i guess it didn’t work then i downloaded pdanet and I guess i was not able to change the MTU….. My xbox is not able to get past the xbox -> network stage…i followed all of your steps but the only one i had problem was under the sharing tab in the newtork and sharing center, i did not have the option of how the internet connection was shared… any suggestions… i have a 32-bit windows vista PC
