How to Run Windows XP on a USB Drive

Author: Administrator | Files under Operating Systems

http://twitter.com/chrispirillo – What is your favorite operating system? XP has been a great operating system. I think it’s been around as long as I’ve been alive. You may be attached to it, along with your computer. Did you know that Windows XP doesn’t have to be attached to your computer in order to use it? http://chris.pirillo.com – http://geeks.pirillo.com

    You don’t need ANY …
You don’t need ANY sort of software program or virtual PC software to create a loadable and runable version of xp OR any other operating system on a flash drive… ALL you need to do is know which boot critical files to extract and copy to the usb/cd yourself… then you literally format the media with a file system.. and then you put on any programs you want… and then you just boot up and log on…

If you have the right knowledge.. this is all QUITE easy and you can do it yourself

    There is a BIG …
There is a BIG difference between “MypocketXP” and the LiveCD/USB Linux distros. “MypocketXP” requires to have a host OS running in order to run the virtual image on top of it. On the other hand, the Linux LiveCD/USB’s are bootable which means that they’ll run directly from a USBport or CDrom without any interaction with other OS’s. The only “WindowsXP” I can think of that can truly run directly via a USB pendrive or CD is BartPE and after a lot of customizations & headaches.

I would appreciate to see a normal, simple, frank person. Why talk in such a weird (american?) way using weird voice and play this stupid role? Who are you trying to deceive – yourself, obviously!
